Why SoleymyFeet

Human locomotion is a very complex, kinetic chain of movement that begins from the ground up in lower extremity motion. In other words, where the foot goes, so goes the ankle, knee, hip, pelvis and lower back. If you are experiencing tired, aching feet at the end of the day or your feet are so sore you hate to get out of bed in the morning, SoleymyFeet has an answer for you with custom molded inserts. We may not alleviate all the discomfort, but will certainly improve what you have been experiencing! Whether it’s flat feet, high arches, heel pain/planar fasciitis, joint pain (ankle, knee, hip), shin splints, bunions, or a sore ball of the foot from metatarsalgia, custom molded orthotics can address all these issues.

SoleymyFeet are not physicians and recommend all serious foot and joint complications to be addressed by a medical professional.

Properly correcting and supporting the foot can greatly improve the comfort of your feet and help prevent the possibility of advanced bio mechanical symptoms resulting from a foot issue. Paul has worked for over 30 years in the development of these custom molded orthotics along with input from Physical Therapists and Physicians who specialize in body mechanics. With Paul’s experience in the Orthotic and Prosthetic profession, attending and interacting with physicians and therapist at neurological clinics throughout the years, and being a person whom has benefited greatly from intervention, he is aware that things are often more complicated than just a small, medium, or large arch support out of a fancy box. It all begins with proper impressions, cast modifications to address your issue(s), the knowledge of the materials used to accomplish the function of the orthotics and professional finishing of the orthotics. These steps are all key to the success we guarantee in the result of your custom molded orthotics.

SoleymyFeet is a privately owned and operated facility and has a reputation of knowledgeable, professional, quality in the orthotics we offer. All custom molded orthotics are modified and manufactured in our full service lab, from the receipt of your impression boxes to the shipping of your finished product. In most clinical settings, impressions or scans are taken weight bearing and then sent out to labs to be made. First of all, a weight bearing scan or impression takes a ‘picture’ of the problem and then the guess work begins to try to correct the mold. Most clinics do not have the equipment or material expertise to adjust the ‘guess work’ arch support once fitted. Other nationwide chain stores provide ‘custom fit’ arch supports by putting puzzle pieces together in order to try to ‘best fit’ a support to your needs. If that puzzle piece does not properly fit, you are out of luck. And at exorbitant prices! $800 – $1200+ to be more precise!

At SoleymyFeet, we start with non weight bearing impressions of your feet giving us molds in a neutral position. We then modify the cast from that non weight bearing impression and address specific issues with modifications on each cast as needed. The material that you selected to best address your issue(s) is then heated and formed over the mold under vacuum. This process ensures an exact replica of your foot with the supportive modifications incorporated. They are then trimmed, polished and sent to you with a guarantee that they will address the issues you presented to us. Remember, the foot orthotics may not solve all of your issues. They will certainly help but incorporating Physical Therapy treatment will optimize your outcomes!
